Frequently asked questions

  • What is Fast Pass?

    Fast Pass is a benefit offered to FedEx employees to help you get the care you need faster. United Healthcare and FedEx work with providers to offer primary care services within 10 business days.

  • How is Fast Pass different from my typical care experience?

    Often, it can take awhile to see a PCP. As a Fast Pass member, providers are committed to seeing you in 10 business days or less, so you can get care when you need it. Some providers even offer virtual care appointments.

  • Am I eligible for Fast Pass?

    All U.S.-based FedEx employees enrolled in a United Healthcare or Surest (Your Choice) medical plan are eligible. Participating Fast Pass providers are available in major metro areas, as shown on this site.

  • Does it cost more to use Fast Pass?

    There is no additional fee to use your Fast Pass benefit. All visits are subject to any copays, coinsurance or deductibles defined in your health plan’s Summary of Benefits & Coverage.

  • What kinds of health needs are a good fit for Fast Pass?

    Fast Pass works for all primary care needs such as routine checkups or specific health concerns. In the future, we’re working to add specialist appointments for cardiology, oncology, behavioral health and OB/GYN.

  • Is the care quality the same for Fast Pass appointments?

    Yes, all providers are licensed clinicians contracted with some of the most well-respected health organizations in the world. When scheduling an appointment, you can find a provider based on location, languages spoken, areas of expertise and more to find the care that fits your needs.

  • What if Fast Pass is not available in my area?

    At this time, we are actively working with major provider organizations to make Fast Pass available wherever we can.

  • What if my current PCP is not in the Fast Pass program?

    You can still make a Fast Pass appointment with a participating PCP by calling Choose Well Care Connect or the clinic directly. If you prefer to get care from your usual PCP, that’s okay, too. This benefit is here for you to use whenever (and as often) as you’d like.

Please note that Fast Pass is a new program offered in select geographies among a limited set of members. While United Health Group has partnered with select providers to offer wait-times of 10 business days or less, please be aware that there may be circumstances when providers will not be able to achieve this goal due to clinical priorities.

United Healthcare will not direct members to participating Fast Pass providers on any basis except to provide Fast Pass Customers information about the participating provider's ability to offer primary care within 10 business days to a Fast Pass Member.
